About the Analytics and Big Data Congress 2014
The 5th Analytics & Big Data Congress was dedicated to discussing the strategies organisations are deploying to monetise the wealth of data available. Fresh content from all the speakers over the two days and the debates during panels and roundtables, proved that the market is highly innovative in the way data analytics is rolled out and only the sky is the limit.
A number of industries such as online services, retail, FMCG, government, utilities, automotive and more presented on their experiences. Discussions evolved not only around tools but most importantly on how they are translating the insights they are sourcing from data, how they see big data and analytics as a not solely an IT responsibility and how they are moving towards a data driven decision making process.
It was commonly agreed that well-orchestrated investment in analytics can improve customer loyalty and insights on customer needs, as well as generate new leads by targeting prospects with the right product, at the right time.
